PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA

Thanks Heavens for this night of camaraderie and acquaintances under the banner of Jesus' name!

Commitment!

The catchword that kicked me by the butt as I was snootily lying on my bed when a brother noted me for a creative media meeting at Papa John's Pizza at SM Megamall.

It's not an easy thing to master and muster. Shaking myself of all the cobwebs of stress and hassles of the day's work, takes a lot of manly conviction.

Commitment pushes me to the edge of myself.

But what makes things rolling apart from serious self-affirming conversation to attend the meeting is the two consecutive servings of a family-sized Papa John's Pizza.

The size and taste of the pizza is intimidating. I mean, I'm not a big fan of pizza - but it saved my day of meal - for free! God has been so good; spending more time on me.

This one's waiting to be devoured. It's teasing me real hard! Till I cannot forgive it anymore.

Really, being with prolific friends not just saves you a meal (ha ha ha that's too mean) but tosses your happiness to some greater heights. Well, that's God's design. We were not made alone but together.

I'M YOURS

Thanks Heavens for the Jason Mraz easy song!

I've been listing and watching this song for quite a while. A song and music video by Jason Mraz an American singer and songwriter.

His particular song "I'm Yours" has remained on the top chart of Billboard at around 76 weeks. An astounding posterity of a song in chart pinning down LeAnn Rimes' How Do I Live last 1998.

Whatever!

I call his song a "laid-back" song. The song is a simple, smooth sailing, light as feather and laid-back as I have said, lol.

Watch video HERE

Though, I don't find the connection between the lyrical spin of the song and the music video at least I've found the connection of my headphone to the CPU, I've come listen to him now, lol.

It portrays a man setting aside vanity for a moment and turns back to nature as his closest thing to heaven. Close to nature - very refreshing!

Big fan here, Jason, keep going - God Bless!

BRUNO MARS

Thanks God for the graciousness of his songs!

These few days I've pressed my nose against my monitor with Bruno Mars' hit songs on my player. It gives me some kind of Last Song Syndrome.

Through my auditory canal I can see him dancing and singing his songs with blasting energy or say, I can see him explode like a "grenade" with the pin in my mouth, lol.

Bruno has certified platinum singles arrayed in his shelves of fame:

* Just The Way You Are - certified 4 times platinum (and counting...)

* Grenade - certified 5 times platinum (and counting...)

* The Lazy Song - certified 3 times platinum (and counting...)

* Mary You - certified 2 times platinum ( and counting...)

One of the worth noting characters of Bruno is his obstinate belief in his ability. This guy underwent counts of rejections and failures - but the thing is - he never gave up! Look where he is now.

Failures just keep fueling him up! A true-blooded Filipino.

Pinoy never go down easy, yeah! lol

Keep going Mars, big fan here! God Bless you

FLAT WORLD

Thanks God for the flat world!

Flat in a sense that these flat things were really cool and showing at the silent corners in one of the appliance stores here at SM Cubao.

The inventiveness and seamless looks of these flat panel 3D widescreen TV monitors gave me the willies and goose bumps. Few steps closer, hairs in my pits straighten like sea urchins with the prices - few hundred thousands of bucks!

Whew! Prices too rocks! But I'll have one!

This gadgetry really inspires me to work harder every day and every coming days. Kick ass with odds just to be there.

I thought of complaining at the salesman, "this one's defective, too blurry." lol! This LG piece is really blurry and double-visioned unless you wear your 3D goggles.

A snapshot of one of my favorite animated cartoon - the Ice Age. This is a sort of special teaser series. This is not found in either of the three sequel. You have Sid here of the Ice Age pilgrims. Ever wise to others - but not to himself, he he!

Hmm, I don't have yet any assessment of these things. Perhaps, I'd go for Sony Bravia!

Well, then again just a fan of Sony.

SONY ERICSSON

Thanks Heavens for the newly opened Sony Ericsson store.

Nestled somewhere at the upper ground floor of Robinsons Galleria, peeping for this gadget has never been this near. Isang sakay ko lang naman ng buz, bus pala, ay suz!

I've always been a fan of Sony Ericsson. First inspiration came when one of my office mates bought a Sony Ericsson phone at Greenhills. I tested the camera - and heavens it's superbly crystal clear!

We have one opened here at Robinsons Galleria. God bless your store.

Just an assessment, they've got new models and remakes for Xperia phones. We have one here at the left. I thought Sony would refrain from manufacturing compromising form factors of phones such as slide, swivel and flip because of defect issues. Nevertheless, they have new releases of those. Most of theme were touch oriented.

Those images were taken by my SE Cybershot C905 (they were reduced to fairly manageable size though for the web).

Few bits from my phone:

I so loved the form factor of this phone and it's physical features.

So cool this rocks for me!

First, the form factor of this phone. Basically, I prefer phones with twists on its form factors. The keys are evenly placed, I don't seems to have problem with texting. The most pressed keys are placed prior to the alphanumeric keypad to refrain from sliding it every time - maximizing its flex life.

Second, will be the firmware. It fits me. One of the thing I thank most of Sony Ericsson is that it yields to your creativity. I've been creating lots of themes and ringtones for this phone and it works every time. The graphic interface is great. I used to be doing some GIF (motion graphic) works some years ago and so far it worked only in SE as wallpaper. In other phones the graphic gets to be static.

Third, the camera. When SE says 8 megapixels then it's a working and effective megapixels of 8. They've got vivid picture quality and controls for it. Don't know if other phones get to the edge where SE is.

Fourth, the sound. Super blaster! There is what we call Megabass inside SE, more in particular my SE C905 that boosts the bass throttle experience of your auditory canal. SE's music rendering is also crystal clear - much more if the music encoded is at higher bit rates.

Some more, and a lot more...lol!

MY TECH STUFF

What for this day? Chicken soup! Nope...Thanks God it's another artistic whip from my inner mind.

Tango of Adobe Photoshop CS5 an Adobe Illustrator CS5 help me came up with this. The figure itself is was was a concoction of some kind of tuxedo and a bust grafted together - so it's not my body - it him! lol

The background and all those details were from the net - but as well I could create them if I want so.

I'm a big fan of those intricate sci-fi visual effects since I was a kid. They look good and sounds good for me.

DATE TO DATE

Thanks Heavens for another dating spree!

SM Megamall has never been this special and hot than ever before - or is she really is the cause of global warming! ha ha

Shes just getting better and lovelier every time our toes step our best foot forward. This time it's "destination SM Megamall."

We attended the Holy Mass, then few more steps with her to some computer stores looking for her exotic and highly divergent taste for a laptop unit. To no avail few ones will be coming through order - ten units minimum. ha ha ha

I just enjoyed it if I ask myself what did I get.

I guess we have the same wavelength stretch.

And I guess it's time for the "moves." Next time will be the flag down on the moon! lol

ANGRY BIRDS

Thanks God for the Angry Birds, they took my anger away!

I consider Angry Birds as comical child-stuff gaming sensation - the interface and graphics says so - or perhaps I'm just fund of playing highly competitive and sophisticated games.

Secondly, Angry Birds is actually a stress catalyst. It alleviates my stress with few shots pinning chunks of woods, piles of glasses, rubles of bricks and of course the nasty egg-sucker pigs! ha ha ha

I guess Angry Birds is so popular already that I can see them every where; from t-shirts to stuff toys to the sellers - they look like angry birds too! lol.

I ask myself why this has been a big hit in the gaming enterprise. One of the site's assessment is the what they call "engagement." More than anything else - like user interface, graphics, sounds and controls - but it's a conglomeration of everything. But the word that heralds triumphantly in the birdy-tweet's platform is "engage."

For further elaboration on why Angry Birds is so popular, click HERE.

But my own assessment goes like these:

* Angry Birds has the what we call "beauty in simplicity." The graphic is so...so...shall I use the term engaging! Yeah, engaging. At first blush, you know that what appears on your monitor is a game. It attracts considerable very young audiences, young and young-at-heart - and it is. Interestingly enough, this game gives the players willies of their life.

* The game's user controls and interface in somewhat "laid-back." Give me a kick on the butt if I'm wrong in saying that it has more than one or two gameplay controls - if I'm right and you're wrong - then I'll give you one on the balls! lol. As long as the player knows what a piece of mouse in a computer is, then the game is on rolling with the pigs.

* Angry Birds is a very casual game. Just like the popular Plant's VS Zombies they are the slack-time redeemer of office slackers and overhead compounding employees, ha ha. It is an ever favorite pinky workout of secretaries and other clerical office workers - me too. lol.

This one's too literal, though.

* Child friendly. One of the best feature of Angry Birds. I've been playing DOTA, versions of Counter-strike, Unreal Tournament etc...and they are horrendously somewhat morbid and gruesome. This is friendly as long as your kids stays on the rule, rather than make your mobile or laptop as peons instead the birds.

* Of course with the simplicity (as obvious to the users but not to the engineers) of the game comes mobility and lightweight payload to the pc unit or some other gadgets. We have portable versions already of Angry Birds. Try HERE. Unless link has been denied or removed.

* The game is simply CATCHY. Perhaps, even the editors and programmers haven't expected public gaming reception this big. Who would expect that those itsy-bitsy teenyweeny figures catch up millions of eyes and billions of hours.

All in and all, Angry Birds took the center stage of "beauty in simplicity." It took the center of gravity of every man's gaming instinct - wild or tamed.

P.S. If your boss caught you playing, immediately give him a nice shot...bang! ha ha ha

BODY BAG

Thanks God for a Body Bag!

I've always wanted to simplify everything with all the constraint left and right, works, schedules, small room, so many things, so many noise, so many toxic food and whatsoever!

Back to the necessary bare essentials or basics of life.

Food, shelter and clothing is I guess the tripartite foundation of man's physical existence - beyond those needs are compromising elements - wants!

Even the things I carry with me to work or wherever were reduced to necessary that fit a body bag - a pen, tissue, a book, .5 terabite flash drive, ID and cellphone charger connector.

Scampering Ali Mall in search for Smart Padala, I bumped to a body bag at selling price of PHP 750 like that and discount of 50 percent. Wow that's gonna be half the bucks back to my pocket. So I decided to claim it for my own.

I prayed before anything else comes out from my purse. I have already one at my back. This is my second body bag if only my first one did not show evidence of rapture on the stitches.

Courtesy of Kinetix with the distributorship of Shuttlehub under the baton of a lovely lady who handed me the receipt after patiently waiting by the entrance after I said "I'll be back for that." ha ha ha

We'll see how far will this go with me. Made up of waterproof fabric structure with 3 to 4 pockets at most. Not my ideal color (it must have been a tango of gray and black or sci-fi black and blue) but it rocks nevertheless.

Thanks God for a good job!

I have my boss tossing some good thumbs-up for me this day!
I'm doing my graphic obligation at our company inch by inch and one step at a time.

You know, few dose of appreciation really give me or you a good head for the day - and that keeps me kicking the odds here.

I don't know why people needs to be appreciated to be fueled up, if not the other way around. But one thing is certain...

WRITE BOOKS

Thanks God for the slack time!

Having my few slack time after work or some sort of errands, I have my best foot set on the immaculate floors of National Book Store, Robinsons Galleria.

I guess I've furnished myself with a "Tricon" sketchpad, two "Steadler-like" pencils and a dust-free eraser.

Why?

Wala lang. Nauntog lang ako - gusto ko balik dati kung hobby - nung time na yung may computer pa lang eh yung kapit-bahay pa lang namin.

Scampering further, I found myself with the potpourri of books at the second floor. Simple, commonsensical, down-to-earth, light, funny and easy on the pocket books. Of course, books that are too witty out-out-of-this-world are neat on the array.
Perhaps, in my own little way I could come up with a book of my own.

I just thought in a spark that I don't have to be too witty to have my debut authored book. Such as...

Compilations...

Collections...

Anthologies...

Tips and Tricks...whatsoever!

I feel like I am in a trance seeing my hefty offer on the shelf! That's gonna be some big dream - just have to rock the first word now!

MOVE!

Perhaps this ones are too deep, worth a try..

This ones are biographical, maybe eight or ninth on the list of ten...

Og Mandino, wooow, wow! This book rocks!
I've always been a fan of Og Mandino. I even have my one full write-up review of his book "A Better Way To Live." Right HERE.

Or this one. Financial wit-to-share. I've always been eager to be knowledgeable financially and share what I've been taught of. Well, number three or four of my list of ten.

Hmm, this one is far from the impossible. I've always wanted to write books such as this by Bob Ong. Have it on my list, two of ten.

But definitely not this one! Just gonna leave it to the guys of the underworld! bwa ha ha ha

RED RIBBON

Thanks God for another 365 days of beautiful life vested in me. Looking forward for the next 150 years ha ha ha!

I guess I made some noise at the wee hours of the night somewhere inside McDonalds at Ortigas Avenue here in Pasig City - it's my birthday! ha ha ha

These wonderful people (at the Ortigas Feast) made my day.

It was just a typical day for me...

Just took a half-day at work...I've been so tipsy-turvy that day.

Eat my meals...

Play my DOTA game..

And whatsoever!

'Till greetings started to fill-in from text to calls from friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That's a signature greetings for this day, of course!

At the Feast Monday at Robinsons Galleria, a Red Ribbon greeted my way out of the cinema.

It was overwhelming...

and

Heartwarming... !

Curtsey of my bro in the community. After the cinema, next scene-of-the-crime is McDonalds - till 12:oo pm.

Been so thankful for this community.

God must have spent a little more time on me! :-)

INNER STRENGTH

Thanks Heavens for the few shoots of pages from the book THE WRECK OF THE MEDUSA - The Tragic Story Of The Death Raft.

This is a story, and well not just a story, but a true to life story of the Post-Napoleonic tutelage maritime casualty - something related to that.

A story of a death raft.

Ok. For short (I haven't finished the book yet, as of this scribbling) around 400 flesh and souls were crammed into a makeshift, wobbly and wrecked-wicked raft after the rapture of the French frigate The Medusa. To think that they are vying the boundless unforgiving seas giving them bone-shrilling experience, only that what they called "inner strength" will give you the tough carcass to survive the daredevil cold of the night and the hell-sent scourging heat of the day not counting the devoid presence of food shelter and clothing.

The story at around pages 94 and 95 supra, tell of the story of brute individuals mostly armies who knows no power but brute. They were cruel unrelenting men, who for irony, perish the most and first amidst that calling situation.

Men or soldiers with what they call "Napoleonic protege" were men with strength from the inside out - the what they call "inner strength."

Sometimes the battle is not won by brutal force just like what happened to the Medusa tragedy. Few of them were determined that part and parcel of their survival is about that inner strength, that inner value, inner esteem, self-love, self-worth, fighting spirit - you name it.

Outward strength might last only as long as you have it for a day in every fiber of your muscles. The practical problem with the situation is that food ration is a thing before the casualty. So brutal strength now is at stake.

Reason why those physically brute men perished is that they were rejects of the society, used and abused. At times of tragedy, they may have outward bravery the way they lack inward strength and value to love themselves and their lives despite of the situation.

While the Napoleonic soldiers were men taught and treated with value that's why they have more wider perspective and gut to survive in a tormenting situation.

LOOKING FORWARD

Thanks GOD!

I'm actually looking forward to finishing this magazine.

The photo below is just a part and parcel of my magazine project in a company together with their Company AVP and Website.

This one got to be so beautiful. I have also made the write-up. This one whole page took a hard days work. But it's worth it.

The name of the product is Enosh. An all-around off-the-wall kitchen showcase and equipment. It bares all heavy to basic kitchen needs such as griller, fryer, washer, cutlery, compartment, deep fryer, cooker all in one nexus.

Proudly produced by EagleWings International Corp. A stainless still fabrication company.

Just one few tips in doing grate graphic designs:

First, practice...

Second, practice...

Third, practice!

You get me!? :-)

See, that's how I did it. I'm not even a graduate of any Fine Arts course or something - just a blessing, you know! he he he

Sometimes it's like a firework...

But whatever that is, happiness is everyone's business.

RADICAL PEOPLE

I want to thank God for these beautiful people surrounding me.

The Radical Men.

We call ourselves as such - as Radical people who do radical things for God - in a positive way of course. While other guys might be hanging out around, we do some radical things, somehow atypical and unusual. We might be at the a foundation giving a hand to abandoned kids, elderly and sick that we thought only religious and holy rollers do. We are on a Sunday shedding time for the community we serve - for God.

But this time we're on a wake. Giving our hearts out for the bereaved family of the departed - father of one of our brother.

Radical!

I wanna credit these bunch of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious men of God for my growth as a person. They've been part of my maturity specially in interpersonal relations.

These guys kicked ass with their individual past and paddles their canoe to a triumphant future.

Kudos guys! a long way more to go!
