ACER ASPIRE 4755G

Thanks Heavens for this technological piece!

Just finished romancing the ACER ASPIRE 4755G laptop unit lent to me. Not bad for editing - but not heavy editing.

Troubles bug my mind when I tried to install Windows XP3 - it won't work. So if you want to try it, do so but don't hit me, lol.

ACER strongly supports Windows Operating System, more in particular Windows 7 Series. That is why in their website Windows XP and Vista have been grayed out; leaving Windows 7 as available for download support for the unit.

Most of the peripherals in ACER won't work with Win XP now; specially the newly released notebooks and even netbooks or even desktops. That left me one choice...

So I bought with me Windows 7 pro.

We're both strangers here, lol. I've been using Windows XP for almost 10 years and now here comes the bride.

Whew! It was a hard days work. What gives me so much trouble was the second or third party VGA adapter - the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 540M. This one's giving me the willies of the day, ha ha ha

After the the labor, now what's with learning the hard way? Here I've got some tips for you.

* First, If ever you have ACER Aspire notebook, netbook or even desktop; the newer version of it do not support XP or Vista anymore. As for my case it's Acer Aspire 4755G. I managed to install the XP3 but then was halted by lots of incompatibilities. So, eat your emotions and say bye bye to gold old XP grandpa. ha ha ha
* Second, always install everything that is on the resource CD. I mean every thing even though it looks like the hardware have been installed already. Chances are, if you don't, the unit will not work properly.

Just like in the case below. The devices seemed installed already. Nevertheless, I just do the driver update as if it has never been installed. As for me it's the VGA cards that pounded my brain cells.

The unit (Acer Aspire 4755g) works fine, very fine.

We have long way more to go with this.

TRAMWAY BUFFET PLAZA (THROUGH THE RAIN)

Thanks God for a nice buffet treat at Tramway Buffet Plaza!

It's somehow a usual day-in and day-out of work, except for a Care Group invitation from friends. The rain is trickling real hard and teasing. The traffic is pounding the road real serious.

Jeepneys are jam packed to the brim. It was Friday - what do we expect. At least I know now that C5 (Libis - Eastwood) is daredevil on Fridays.

At least that's the point of departure. Now what's the real point?

Tamway Buffet Plaza at the Upper Ground floor of World Corporate Center Shaw corner EDSA. Try some best foot here. I walked from Robinsons Galleria to here. It's worth it!

Wow at PHP 200 - you can eat the ceramic plates ha ha!

It's an eat-all-you-can and of course drink-all-you-can. A tummy up you can hardly enjoy in a fast food hub.

Whew! that's a lot of good eating with one unfamiliar foodie stuff invading my palate and plate - no other than what they call the "Century Egg."

Taste like like egg, taste like jelly - whatever, lol.

Here's one goodie that rocks my gustatory every time.

A round of applause...the Maki tangoed to Sushi. Taste like no other!

I happened to remember some eating regulations though:

* No tasting of food at the counter.
* Take what you can eat at capacity - P6.00 charge per grams of leftovers.
* Hitchers or sit occupants will be charged same as buffet takers.

And obviously no take homes.

LIVING FOR YOUR DREAMS

Thanks God for a day and a movie!

Tangled.

I'm a one big fan of stories like "in a kingdom far far away...and they lived happily ever after." Just like Tangled. I thought for a moment what was it. Later, did I knew that it was an adaptation of a German fairy tale Rapunzel.

What mesmerized me is a kingdom far far away stuff. You know it's my child thing when ipads, multimedia cellphones and ultra portable music players were still dreams far far away from the minds of engineers.

Secondly, was the seemingly perfect CG sculpture of the princess' face and her smart innocence. She has for me a definitely comely face and a teasing eye gestures that prickle my masculine posture at my coach.

Another thing is her magical tangled hair that turns luminous gold and heals wounds when she sang. It brings more of her. I wonder if my girlfriend has this, would she heal a wounded heart, ows! ha ha

And oh, antagonism is a little bit biting but not too furious. It's a woman who wants to stay young under the magical asylum of Rapunzel's hair. But she turned to dust when Rapunzel decided to have her new hairdo later on. No, just kidding. Uhum, when Rapunzel turned brunette because her hair was severed in the later part of the story the magic that holds the fountain of youth for her "mom" vanished causing her to turn into a horrible wicked witch and later into dust at the base of the tower.

Over and beyond I like the creative queer twists of the adaptation of Rapunzel's story. It's a story ended happily ever after.

I slept late ever after the movie, zzzZZZ Nyooork!

I liked it! Four thumbs up (including my feet - I call those thumbs).

By the way what does my title says? Living for your dreams, right! Hmmm, Rapunzel lived to see the lanterns that the castle flew every year on the day of her birthday - that was actually dedicated to her. Her parents believed that their princess would soon come back - and she did.
